Speak Less, Smile More...You can't listen if you are talking.

On episode #56 of the Rethink Marketing Podcast, Colin and Eric, ironically, talk about the importance of listening in marketing and sales.  We have all been on the receiving end of being talked at,  talked down to, or involuntarily in the front row of someone's one person show.  None of these scenarios help us feel understood or meet our business needs.

If 80% of our sales presentation is us speaking, or 90% of our marketing campaign is talking  at our customer base, that could be a big problem.  In this episode we won't get into theories about active listening or responsive queues, but we hope to hammer home that you can't  listen if you are talking.
